9 ADJACENT ALUMINIUM VERTICAL FRAME ELEMENTS FITTED WITH AT LEAST TWO LOCIUNG MECHANISMS ABSTRACT ACCORDING TO THE PRESENT INVENTION, ADJACENT SINGLE MODULAR FRAMES (20A, 20B) FOR USE IN 5 AN OPEN PLAN PARTITION SYSTEM ARE ASSEMBLED, HELD TOGETHER AND LOCKED IN POSITION BY AT LEAST TWO LOCKING MECHANISMS MOUNTED, POSITIONED AND SECURED ALONG THE MATING VERTICAL FRAME ELEMENTS (10A, 10B) WHICH ARE EXTRUDED AND MADE FROM ALURNINIURN MATERIAL. THE ALUMINIUM EXTRUDED MATING VERTICAL FRAME ELEMENT (10) IS OF A SPECIAL PROFILE AND INCLUDES AN ELONGATED INNER TRACK (1 1) INCLUDING AN ELONGATED GAP (I 13) ALONG WHICH TWO SCREW 1 O PROTRUSIONS OR TWO HOLDING BRACKETS ARE SLIDABLY MOUNTED, POSITIONED AND SECURED THEREIN. THE TWO SCREW PROTRUSIONS (13) ARE SLIDABLY MOUNTED, POSITIONED AND SECURED, ONE ON TOP AND ANOTHER AT THE BOTTOM OF ONE MATING VERTICAL FRAME ELEMENT (I OA) OF A FIRST SINGLE MODULAR FRAME (20A). CORRESPONDINGLY, TWO HOLDING BRACKETS (14) ARE SLIDABLY MOUNTED, POSITIONED AND SECURED ON ONE MATING VERTICAL FRAME ELEMENT (10B) OF A SECOND SINGLE 15 MODULAR FRAME (20B). THE SCREW PROTRUSION (I 3) AND THE HOLDING BRACKET (I 4) CONSTITUTE THE LOCKING MECHANISM. (FIGURE 4)
