Abstract

THE INVENTION PROVIDES A VEHICLE REAR SIDE MEMBER STRUCTURE WHICH SECURES THE STROKE OF A SUSPENSION SPRING WHILE LOWERING THE POSITION OF AN ANCHOR BRACKET OF A SEAT BELT WHICH IS COUPLED TO A KICK-UP PORTION. A RECESSED PORTION IS FORMED ON AN UPPER PORTION (6) OF A KICK-UP PORTION (2) IN SUCH A MANNER AS TO BE RECESSED DOWNWARDS, AND A REINFORCEMENT MEMBER (10) IS COUPLED TO THE RECESSED PORTION AT THE UPPER PORTION (6) OF THE KICK-UP PORTION (2). AN ANCHOR BRACKET (9) OF A SEAT BELT (16) IS COUPLED TO THE RECESSED PORTION OF THE KICK-UP PORTION (2) BY THE REINFORCEMENT MEMBER (10). A SPRING SUPPORT MEMBER (12) FOR SUPPORTING A SUSPENSION SPRING (13) IS COUPLED TO A LOWER SURFACE PORTION OF A REAR SIDE MEMBER (1), THE LOWER SURFACE PORTION IS OPPOSITE TO THE RECESSED PORTION OF THE KICK-UP PORTION.
