Abstract

IN A SCROLL COMPRESSOR, IN WHICH A SUCTION ROOM AND A COMPRESSION ROOM 48 ARE FORMED BETWEEN A FIXED SCROLL HAVING A SWIRL-LIKE LAP AND ROTATING SWIRL-LIKE LAP, WHEREIN REFRIGERANT GAS INTRODUCED IN THE SUCTION ROOM IS LED INTO A SIDE OF THE COMPRESSION ROOM 48 TO BE COMPRESSED THEREIN, SEQUENTIALLY, AND DISCHARGES THE GAS COMPRESSED, ACCOMPANYING WITH ORBITING MOVEMENT OF THE ROTATING SCROLL, A RELEASE OPENING 62 AND A VALVE ROOM 60 ARE FORMED IN SERIES IN SAID FIXED SCROLL 24, AND A RELEASE CONTROL VALVE 58 IS PROVIDED WITHIN THE VALVE ROOM 60, WHEREBY DISCHARGING FLUID WITHIN THE COMPRESSION ROOM 48 INTO THE DISCHARGE PRESSURE ROOM 18 WHEN THE PRESSURE WITHIN THE COMPRESSION ROOM 48 EXCEEDS A PRESET PRESSURE. WITH SUCH THE STRUCTURE AS MENTIONED ABOVE, THE SCROLL COMPRESSOR ACCORDING TO THE PRESENT INVENTION CAN REDUCE THE RE-EXPANSION VOLUME, BUT WITHOUT LOOSING THE RIGIDITY OF THE FIXED SCROLL.(FIGURE 1)
