Abstract
Se describe una maquina para ranurar preformas de empaque planas (3) fabricadas de carton corrugado. La maquina incluye un conjunto de rodillo impulsor (1Oa, 1Ob, 5O, 5OO) para hacer avanzar las preformas y un rodillo ranurador giratorio (7) con una cuchilla (9) para producir una ranura del borde frontal (11) y/o una ranura del borde posterior (13) en cada preforma de empaque (3). La cuchilla (9) es circular y definida por dos bordes de cuchilla (9a, 9b), la cuchilla se extiende a traves de un angulo central (v) de 300O maximo, de tal manera que la cuchilla presenta un espacio de cuchilla (19) entre los bordes de cuchilla. Por medio del rodillo ranurador (7) y un motor impulsor asociado (21) 10 controlado por un cronometro del programa (23), una porcion (9A) de la cuchilla (9) adyacente al primer borde de cuchilla (9a) esta adaptado para cortar la ranura del borde frontal (11) del borde frontal (15) de la preforma y a la preforma (3), mientras que una segunda porcion (9B) de la cuchilla adyacente al segundo borde de la cuchilla (9b) esta adaptada para cortar la ranura del borde posterior (13) de un sitio sobre la preforma (3) adyacente al borde posterior (17) de la preforma y hacia atras a traves del borde posterior por medio del rodillo ranurador (7), el motor impulsor (21) y el cronometro del programa (23) en tanto que la preforma (3) se hace avanzar a traves de la maquina a velocidad uniforme. La confiabilidad operacional resultante es muy alta aun a una elevada velocidad de trabajo y las ranuras resultantes presentan bordes cortantes agudos. La manufactura de la maquina ademas no es costosa.
