Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a un metodo de monitoreo de un sensor que detecta la velocidad de flujo de un medio. La invencion ademas se refiere a un aparato para llevar a cabo este metodo. Con el fin de tener la capacidad de monitorear el sensor, sin proporcionar sensores redundantes, la velocidad de flujo del medio, que es especificada por el sensor, es correlacionada al menos con un parametro de operacion de una instalacion operada con el medio. Para este proposito, el aparato de acuerdo con la invencion incluye un sensor que detecta la velocidad de flujo de un medio, una instalacion operada con el medio y un dispositivo de correlacion que relaciona en forma reciproca la velocidad de flujo del medio, que es especificada por el sensor, al menos con un parametro de operacion de la instalacion.
