Abstract
La invencion comprende metodos para monitorear de manera no invasiva las caracteristicas de la sangre de un paciente. Las determinaciones de las concentraciones de los constituyentes en sangre pueden hacerse al comparar la absorbancia de la radiacion a parametros variables, tal como la longitud de la trayectoria y la presion sanguinea. Preferentemente, los cambios en la presion se efectuan al cambiar la altura de las sondas con relacion al corazon del paciente. Las determinaciones del pli sanguineo pueden hacerse al comparar la absorbancia de la sangre de diferentes longitudes de onda. La temperatura de la sangre, y asi del corazon del paciente pueden tambien determinarse de manera exacta. Ademas, las caracteristicas del gasto cardiaco y las presiones sanguineas pueden determinarse de manera no invasiva utilizando los metodos de la invencion.
