Abstract

Metodo y aparato para el transporte de paquetes de datos en un sistema de transmision inalambrico que soporta transmisiones de difusion. Un arbol de multidifusion se construye entre nodos a traves de enrutadores vecinos. El arbol de multidifusion forma un tunel a traves del cual se transmite el contenido de difusion. El mensaje de difusion es encapsulado en un paquete de Protocolo de Internet para la transmision a traves del arbol de multidifusion. Por lo menos un arbol de multidifusion se forma entre la porcion de Internet del sistema y la porcion inalambrica del sistema, tal como la Red de Acceso. En una modalidad, un arbol de multidifusion externo se forma entre una fuente de contenido y un nodo de servicio de datos de paquete, y un arbol de multidifusion interno se forma entre el nodo de servicio de datos de paquete y un nodo de funcion de control de paquetes.
