Abstract

Se provee un acero inoxidable martensitico, que contiene: C: 0,01 - 0,10%, Si: 0,05 - 1,0%, Mn: 0,05 - 1,5%, P: no mas que 0,03%, S: no mas que 0,01%, Cr: 9 - 15%, Ni: 0,1 -4,5%, Al: no mas que 0,05% y N: no mas que 0,1% en masa, conteniendo ademas al menos uno de los elementos Cu: 0,05 - 5% y Mo: 0,05 - 5%, siendo el resto Fe e impurezas inevitables, en el cual los contenidos de Cu y de Mo satisfacen las siguientes formulas (a) y (b)0,2% = Mo + Cu/4 = 5% (a)0,55% = Mo + Cu/4 = 5% (b)presentando una dureza de 30 - 45 en HRC y una cantidad de carburos en los limites intragranulares de austenita anterior no mayor que 0,5% en volumen. Dicho acero inoxidable martensitico tiene excelentes propiedades con respecto a la resistencia a la concentracion de tensiones por formacion de fisuras por sulfuro, resistencia a la abrasion corrosiva y a la corrosion localizada.
