Abstract

La invencion se refiere a un rodillo de moldeo continuo para moldear banos fundidos, especialmente banos fundidos de acero. El rodillo de moldeo comprende un cuerpo de rodillo (2) que consiste en un material metalico, al cual se aplica una capa (4) de material metalico, el material metalico de la capa tiene una dureza mas alta que la del cuerpo de rodillo (2). El rodillo de moldeo continuo de la invencion tiene una vida de servicio mas larga y propiedades de uso mejoradas. Esto se logra al proporcionar a la capa (4) una dureza mas baja sobre su espesor en su region adyacente al cuerpo de rodillo (2) que en la region de su superficie libre (5).
