Abstract
Metodo y aparato para el control de congestion en un sistema de comunicaciones inalambricas. En una modalidad, el estado de un bit de congestion indica el tipo de ajuste, tal como un incremento o disminucion, a realizarse en una terminal de acceso a fin de determinar la siguiente velocidad de datos para las transmisiones por el enlace inverso. El estado del bit de congestion se determina comparando un parametro de congestion con un umbral predeterminado (186). Una modalidad implementa un umbral de lazo exterior que tiene un margen con respecto al umbral metrico de congestion deseado. El umbral de lazo exterior se ajusta en respuesta a la comparacion de una metrica de congestion medida con el umbral deseado (192, 194, 196). El ajuste de umbral de lazo exterior mantiene la metrica de congestion hasta una probabilidad predeterminada de exceder el umbral deseado.
