Abstract

Se describe un articulo absorbente que proporciona proteccion contra fugas y/o proteccion de la piel, asi como metodos para usar y preparar el mismo y composiciones y compuestos novedosos para usarse en el mismo. El articulo absorbente comprende una hoja superior permeable; una hoja posterior o de soporte sustancialmente impermeable; un nucleo absorbente colocado entre la hoja superior permeable y la hoja posterior o de soporte sustancialmente impermeable; y una composicion hidrofobica colocada selectivamente sobre el articulo absorbente para contener fugas. La composicion hidrofobica es colocada en una o mas zonas de proteccion contra fugas.
