Abstract

La invencion se refiere a una instalacion para producir una tira laminada en caliente a partir de una masa fundida de metal de acuerdo con el proceso de colada continua entre rodillos gemelos. Para incrementar el rendimiento de la masa fundida en la artesa de colada hasta arriba del limite de capacidad de una instalacion de colada continua de un cordon metalico que opera de acuerdo con el proceso de colada continua entre rodillos gemelos y al mismo tiempo para reducir los tiempos de colada continua por lotes significativamente con una inversion y costos operativos minimos, la invencion propone una configuracion de la instalacion en la cual una cuchara de colada continua (1) con una salida (5) para la masa fundida esta asignada a una artesa de colada (6) para recibir la masa fundida de metal desde la cuchara de colada continua (1), por cuanto esta artesa de colada unica (6) esta equipada con al menos dos salidas inferiores (8a, 8b) para transferir la masa fundida de metal hasta dos dispositivos de colada continua entre rodillos gemelos (10a, 10b), por cuanto cada linea de contacto (13a, 13b) entre rodillos para colada continua esta asignada al menos a una de las salidas inferiores (8a, 8b) de la artesa de colada (6), y las dos linea de contacto (13a, 13b) entre rodillos para colada continua estan dispuestas a un angulo de 15' a 180°, o paralelas y descentradas de manera relacionada entre si en terminos de sus extensiones longitudinales.
