Abstract
Un metodo para hacer una determinacion de calidad en huevos de aves, tal como relativa a fertilidad o empollado o viabilidad de nacimiento, comprende las siguientes actividades. Una linea de proceso es equipada para procesar un sucesion sinfin de huevos en una oportunidad temprana. La linea de proceso tiene una estacion de inspeccion por ultrasonido para los huevos. Los resultados de inspeccion por ultrasonido son analizados para hacer una determinacion capaz de correlacionarse con la calidad del cascaron del huevo, que a su vez es capaz de correlacionarse con factores de calidad tales como fertilidad o empollado o viabilidad de nacimiento. Se realiza una determinacion de clasificacion con base en este analisis respecto de en que categoria de salida debe clasificarse el huevo. Las categorias de salida pueden ser un numero de tres aproximadamente, incluyen- do un premio calificado como para graduacion a una operacion de empollado, no calificado para operacion de empollado pero no desecho, y defectuoso debido a no ser utilizable y por ende desecho. La categoria intermedia puede incluir grado de consumo por mascotas.
