Abstract

Un metodo y sistema para medir una variacion de retraso de una via en una red transmite paquetes de prueba con una indicacion de tiempo de transmision y un numero de secuencia. La red recibe un primer paquete de prueba y un segundo paquete de prueba y notifica los tiempos de llegada. Cuando los dos paquetes de prueba son secuenciales, la variacion de retraso de una via se calcula entre los dos paquetes de prueba. La variacion de retraso es igual a la diferencia en los tiempos de llegada entre el primer y segundo paquetes de prueba menos la diferencia en el tiempo de transmision entre el primer y segundo paquetes de prueba.
