Abstract

Se proporcionan una estructura y metodo de comunicacion que permite las comunicaciones tipo conexion y sin conexion a ser provistas en un enlace multiplexado. La estructura y metodo pueden hacer eficiente el uso de la capacidad de transmision disponible y/o los recursos de la red, mientras proporcionan ambos tipos de comunicacion e hibridos. Las comunicacion tipo conexion pueden ser provistas por un canal que tiene una capacidad de transmision alojada dedicada a la comunicacion, mientras que las comunicaciones sin conexion se pueden proporcionar por un canal compartido a traves del cual los datos se transmiten a los suscriptores. En una modalidad, el canal compartido transmite cuadros de paquetes dirigidos a uno o mas suscriptores. El alojamiento o la capacidad de transmision entre los canales dedicados y el canal compartido se puede fijar o se puede manejar para cumplir con los requerimientos del operador de la red o redes. La estructura y metodo tambien puede ser manejada por el operador de la red para permitir la prioridad de algunas comunicaciones sobre otras. En otra modalidad, se proporcionan dos o mas canales compartidos ademas de los canales dedicados.
