Abstract

Una tela respirable, a prueba de filtraciones, reutilizable y lavable, mas especifica mente, una tela compuesta comprendida de una capa absorbente liquida y una capa impermeable al liquido pero permeable al vapor. Tal tela es util para extraer fluidos, tales como fluidos corporales, lejos de una fuente, tal como el cuerpo, y retenerlos dentro de la capa absorbente mientras tiene lugar la evaporacion de los mismos a pesar de la capa permeable al vapor. Este material consiste de dos capas yuxtapuestas. La capa interior tiene la caracteristica de ser permeable al liquido para permitir que los fluidos corporales fluyan hacia ella y se absorban. La capa exterior tiene la caracteristica de ser impermeable al liquido pero permeable al vapor o aire, de manera que el liquido absorbido en la capa interior no avanza a traves de la capa exterior. Debido a que los fluidos corporales puede fluir hacia la capa interior, el usuario no experimenta un sentimiento viscoso del material proximo a la piel. La respirabilidad de la capa exterior tambien reduce el sentimiento humedo y de hecho permitira alguna evaporacion del liquido recolectado en la capa interior. El material proporciona las funciones de absorber o extraer cantidades menores de fluidos corporales lejos del usuario siendo aun suficientemente delgado y comodo para ser poco aparente. Ademas, el material de tela resultante es capaz de lavarse, es resistente al descoloramiento y mantiene substancialmente sus otras propiedades despues de numerosos ciclos de uso y lavado. En general, el material comprende una tela hecha de fibras de acetato absorbentes y posiblemente una o mas otras fibras tales como poliester o nylon, al cual se lamina o adhiere una pelicula de poliuretano microporoso impermeable al liquido pero permeable al vapor, para dar como resultado un material de tela substancialmente integral del cual los articulos pueden fabricarse, los cuales pueden tomar ventaja de la naturaleza respirable, a prueba de filtracion, lavable/utilizable y absorbente del material.
