Abstract
Un metodo implementado en computadora para formular un producto (por ejemplo, un producto quimico) incluye la recepcion de un documento de formulacion de producto que guia la formulacion de un producto a partir de varios componentes diferentes. El documento puede, por ejemplo, indicar los componentes requeridos y opcionales y grupos de componentes alternativos relacionados. Para proporcionar dichos lineamientos, el documento incluye (i) una opcion de seleccion de componentes que identifica conjuntos de componentes de formulacion, (ii) por lo menos una limitacion para identificar un rango numerico asociado con una propiedad de uno de los componentes de formulacion e (iii) una limitacion de blanco. El documento de formulacion de producto es procesado para determinar un conjunto de componentes de formulacion que pueden emplearse para producir el producto de tal manera que una o varias propiedades del producto cumplan las limitaciones de blanco asociadas. El procesamiento del documento incluye tambien la seleccion entre componentes de formulacion opcionales. Esta seleccion puede efectuarse mediante la determinacion de conjuntos de componentes de formulacion a emplear en la formulacion del producto y mediante la determinacion de un rango permitido asociado con los componentes de formulacion. Los rangos permitidos permiten que el producto formulado cumpla con las limitaciones de blanco.
