Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a una nueva clase de glicosulfopeptidos sinteticos (GSPs) los cuales tiene uno o mas residuos de tirosina sulfatados y un glicano ligado al peptido, el glicano preferiblemente incluye un grupo Lewis* de sialilo o un grupo Lewis* de sialilo. En una version preferida del GSPs tiene un O-glicano que comprende un enlace (1,6 a un GalNAc. La presente invencion ademas contempla metodos in vitro de la sintesis de estos GSPs sin el uso de las celulas y metodos de su uso in vivo como compuestos antimetastasicos o antitromboticos anti-inflamatorios poderosos. La invencion tambien contempla un metodo de sintetizar los oligosacaridos por el desdoblamiento del glicano a partir de GSP.
