LUMINOUS ADVERTISING COUNTER WITH ROLLING BASE DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to portable advertising stands that have a rolling base. Bright advertising stands and signs are used for a variety of different purposes nowadays in virtually all types of businesses. For example, the stands of light advertising and signs of various types are used for the point of deployment of the purchase, either inside or outside the establishment. The stands of luminous advertising and signs are also used for the control of. traffic and industrial safety to provide advertisements and / or notices for pedestrians, interns and motorists. Many of the luminous advertising stands in use today are bright advertising stands mounted on wind-resistant spring. Some of these are shown, for example, in U.S. Patent No. 3,646,696, 3,662,482, 4,288,053 and 4,548,379. There are also numerous light advertising stands in use today, which use 'T-shaped columns or heavy bases to store them in place. Where heavy bases are used, it is sometimes difficult to provide appropriate measures and weight basis to provide the best wind resistance and still, at the same time, allow the light advertising stand to be portable. It is an object of the present invention to provide an improved light advertising stand which has a heavy base and is easily portable. It is also an object of the present invention to have a luminous advertising stand having wheels or rollers for ease of placement and movement. It is also another object of the present invention to provide a portable light advertising stand in which the weight of the base can be easily adjusted. It is still another object of the present invention to provide a portable light advertising stand having a base member with a cavity therein, so the cavity can be filled with liquid or solid material to keep the light advertising stand in place and still be downloaded to allow the light advertising stand to be moved and stored easily. These and other objects and purposes of the present invention will be apparent from the following brief description and descriptions of the invention. The invention provides a portable light advertising stand with a base that can have a tight weight. The base has one or more compartments or cavities with doors or openings to allow the compartments or cavities to be filled or emptied. Preferably, except for one or more internal / external doors are sealed, the base can not have any openings or joints that can cause leakage problems. A bright advertising stand or sign, particularly a light advertising stand mounted on a wind-resistant spring, is mounted to the base member. One or more wheels or rollers are provided on one of the sides of the base member to allow the base member and the light advertising stand to be easily moved from one position to another. These and other features, benefits and advantages of the present invention will be apparent to the following description of the invention when viewed in accordance with the accompanying drawings and appended claims. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS FIGURE 1 illustrates a preferred embodiment of the present invention; FIGURE 2 is an exploded view of the embodiment illustrated in Figure 1; FIGURE 3 is a cross-sectional view of a preferred embodiment of the base member according to the present invention, the cross section being taken along lines 3-3 in Figure 2;
FIGURE 4 is also a cross-sectional view of a preferred embodiment of the base member, the cross section being taken along lines 4-4 in Figure 2 and in the direction of the arrows. FIGURE 5 is a cross-sectional view taken along lines 5-5 in Figure 3 and in the direction of the arrows; FIGURE 6 is a partial top view of the base member; FIGURE 7 discloses a preferred embodiment of the invention in a position to be filled with a reactor; and FIGURE 8 illustrates the manner in which the invention can be moved from one position to another. The present invention is generally referred to by the number 10 in the drawings. The invention comprises a bright advertising stand and a sign having a heavy base member apparatus in which the weight can be adjusted and which has roller member to allow the light advertising stand to be easily moved from a position to other. The light advertising stand 10 includes a base member 12 and a standing sign 14 member. The tag member 14 is connected 14 to the base member 12 by a pair of coil springs 20. Although the invention 10 is shown in the preferred embodiment using a pair of coil springs 20 connected to the tag member 14 to the base member 12, it is also understood that the sign member can be connected to the base member in any conventional manner. In this regard, the connection means can provide a wind-resistant assembly, or a sign member that can be solidly connected to the base member without allowing a provision for wind resistance. The light advertising stands connected to the base members with one or more spring members are described, for example, in U.S. Patent Nos. 3,646,696, 3,662,482 and 4,288,053, the descriptions of which are incorporated herein by reference. Bright advertising stands of this type are sold under the trademark WINDMASTER ™ by Mar eting Displays, Inc., Farmington Hills, Michigan. The base member 12 is preferably molded from a plastic material, such as polyethylene, polypropylene, or the like, although other equivalent materials which could fulfill the purposes and objects of the present invention may be used. Inside the base member has one or more hollow compartments or chambers 22. One or more openings 24 are used to communicate with each of the chambers 22 so they can be filled with a liquid or solid material, such as water, sand , or another reactor. Although the base should be assembled in two or more pieces and joints joined, or molded in one piece with a plurality of openings or recesses machined thereon, it is preferred that the base be mounted in the size and configuration shown by the molding techniques rotational. In this way, the openings or joints are unnecessary and the base can be provided without potential reactor leak sites. Thus, in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the invention, the base has only one or more entry / exit doors for filling, discharging the cavity or internal cavities, and these ports can be easily sealed with an appropriate shutter and placed in a position where the leak is not a concern. Individual or multiple hollow portions or chambers can be provided inside the base member 12. In this regard, if more than one chamber is provided, then it is preferable that each chamber has at least one opening 24 that allows access to the volume of each camera. Also, there you can have two or more doors or openings in each of the chambers to facilitate filling and emptying, if desired.
Figures 3 and 4 illustrate cross-sectional views of a base member 12 which has an interior chamber 22. A sealing member 26 of any conventional type, preferably made of plastic or an elastomer material / rubber, is provided for sealing movable shape opening 24. When it is desired to fill the chambers in the base member with reactor, the light advertising stand 10 is preferably flipped over and placed on its side, as shown in Figure 6. In this way, a liquid such as water from a hose 28 can be introduced into the chamber through an opening 24. The sealing member 26 seals the opening after the base member is filled with reactor. When this is desired to fill the base member 12, the light advertising stand 10 can be flipped over in the opposite manner to that shown in Figure 7 so the opening 24 is close to the ground. This allows the liquid or solid reactor in the base member to flow out of the opening 24. As shown in Figure 2, a pair of wheels 32 are connected to the shaft member 34 and placed in the bottom of the base member 12. The fixed wheels within the rests 36 molded in the base member. The shaft is placed in a groove or channel 40 in the base member and the shaft member 34 is held in place by the support member 42. The coil spring members 20 are connected to the light advertisement stand 14 in any form conventional. As shown in the drawings, the coil springs 20 are preferably connected to the base member 12 by support members 44 which are connected in a channel 46 in the base member. The support members 42 and 44 are secured adjacent to an opposite side of the base members 12 by a plurality of fasteners. The fasteners 50 can be of any conventional type, such as machine bolts as shown in Figure 2. The washers 52 and the nuts 54 are used to secure the fasteners 50 to the two plate members. The fasteners 50 are placed in molded openings 60 in the base member 12. In accordance with the preferred embodiment of the invention, it is unnecessary to drill holes in the base for the support shaft or fasteners. The shaft is fixed within an elongated molded rest and the fasteners are placed in a molded opening which provides sealed passages through the base. As shown, the support member 42 keeps the light advertising stand 14 secure to the base member 12, and also holds the spindle 34 and the wheels 32 in place of the base member. A pair of elongated cavities or openings 62 are also incorporated in the base member 12 and communicate with the central channel 46. The elongated openings 62 allow bending of the spring members when the light advertising stand 14 is deflected by wind forces. This deflection is shown, for example in the hidden lines 201 in Figure 5. The wheels 32 are positioned on a side 70 of the base member and used to bend the light advertising stand 10, so that it can be moved to other positions . The luminous advertising stand could be moved, for example, interior to secure or from one position to another simply for convenience. As shown in Figure 7, to allow the light advertising frame 10 to be moved, the light advertising frame 10 is slightly flipped so that the wheel members 32 are fully engaged with the floor surface. In this position, as shown in Figure 7, the light advertising frame can be moved in any direction. Preferably, the corners 72 of the base member are angled or radio-operated as shown in the drawings to provide clarity for the base member to be rotated in the manner as shown in Figure 7. Although this is only necessary in this respect the angle of the two members of the two corner members adjacent to the wheels 32, the other two corners of the base member are also preferred for angular reasons. The channel 46 is preferably open at both ends 74 of the base member to allow water, snow or the like to be drained from the channel if the light advertising frame 10 is used outdoors. Although the support members 44 and thus the connection between the springs 20 and the base member 12 are placed in the channel member 46, several inches below the upper surface 76 of the base member, it is also understood that the member of tag 14 could be connected in another way to the upper surface 76 of the base member. However, it provides the connection between the springs and the base member in a lower portion of a channel forms a lower center of gravity for the light advertising frame 10. A lower center of gravity makes the light advertising frame more stable under conditions of exposure to the wind. Preferably, according to the present invention, the hollow portions or chambers in the base member held between 5 and 10 gallons or liquid material or reactor. The weight of the material in the containers or cameras of that size is believed to provide satisfactory stability under conditions of exposure to wind for the light advertising frame. The base member 12 can have any exterior measurement or shape, although the shape and size of the base member shown in the drawings is preferred at this time. With respect to a base member of the type shown in the drawings, it may also have one or more surfaces 80 that can be used for members or advertising messages. Announcements could be decals, inserts, embossed or similar. While the best modes for carrying out the invention can be described in detail, those familiar with the technique to which this invention will be directed will recognize recognizing various alternative designs and embodiments for practicing the invention as defined by the following claims.
