"DEVICE OF ALIZACI N AND ANNOUNCEMENT D UL MESSAGES AND METHOD TO MANUFACTURE IT".
This application claims the benefit of the provisional application North American No. 60 / 199,337 filed on April 24, 2000. Technical Field. The present invention relates to a new and improved flexible signage and poster device for advertisement of multiple messages and a method for manufacturing it. More particularly, the present invention relates to a device that allows the selective signaling of multiple messages by means of a poster of multiple sheets, durable, lightweight and economically produced, which is flexible and compact during its transportation and which provides a maximum surface area for a effective communication through messages.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Nowadays, indoor or open-air public gatherings or gatherings are often crowded and quite noisy. These conditions do not lend themselves to verbal communication. In such scenarios, signage and signage means represent an effective means of communication.
In addition, there are circumstances that require posters or temporary signage to give instructions and guidance. Situations such as emergency requirements and traffic control and agglomerations may require signaling means that transmit more than one message or instruction. The need and utility of portable signs and signage, designed for individual use in public agglomerations and in case of emergencies, are well known. Some examples of different types and classes of devices for transmitting or communicating non-verbal messages in public agglomerations or traffic situations or emergencies are described in U.S. Patent Nos. 4,906,503, 4,876.81 1, 4,062,139 and 3,455,044; and in the North American design patent No. 357,707. In general, the structure and operation of most signaling devices and message boards involve flat surfaces on which some messages that are oriented either vertically or horizontally may be printed. A limited number of signaling devices and temporary message boards provide some means to display or display more than one message where more than one instruction is needed or where messages are required in more than one language. Some of the signage and signage devices require mechanical or structural supports and others are held with the hands.
Some signaling devices that provide information about the vehicle load are already known in the art. A device of this type is described in U.S. Patent No. 3,455,044. Such a device consists of a flat rectangular base that is fixed to the body of the vehicle, and a number of leaves that have rotary movement on an articulation element to indicate the different types of load carried by said vehicle to which the vehicle has been fixed. device. It is understood that the device is fixed to the body of the loading vehicle by means of screws or bolts. The semi-permanent nature of the device requires that rigid metals be used in its construction and necessarily implies that the manufacture of said device is relatively expensive. Also, the device would have to be heavy and uncomfortable if it were used as a means of signaling, that could be held with the hands, and that it would be difficult to transport it in places with a high concentration of people. For this device, there is no provision for a mechanism that allows it to be used as a means of signaling or poster, that can be held with the hands. Therefore, it would be highly desirable to have a new and improved device, and a method to produce it, for a signaling and billboard with multiple messages, flexible and hand held, which is lightweight, weather resistant, durable, flexible and easy to transport and storage when it is not being used and that allows the changes of messages in a comfortable and fast way, and that its manufacture is economical. The device described in the North American design patent No. 357,707, is related to a light and cheap signaling or poster means, which can be held with the hands. This device is a means of signaling messages that can be doubled and used for sporting events. It is inferred that this device is rigid and can not be compacted to small dimensions to be stored in a limited space. In addition, the foldable message signaling means for sporting events would have the capacity to carry a message on the front and on the back of it. However, this device is not designed for the deployment of multiple messages that can be easily and quickly changed during its use. Accordingly, it would be highly desirable to have a new and improved device, and a method to produce it, for the signaling and display of multiple messages, flexible and hand-held, which is light, flexible, and can be transported and easily stored in a compact form when not in use; also be weather resistant and allow the changes of multiple messages, conveniently and quickly. U.S. Patent No. 4,062,139 describes a device focused on the display of multiple messages and their ability to be easily carried. However, the base of the device is rigid construction and does not become compact for easy transportation or storage. Additionally, this device is not intended to be used as a signaling means or sign, which can be held with the hands and the construction and design of said device, in the configuration that is intended to be used, would make it difficult for it to be held by someone who go to use as a signaling device or message display that can be held with your hands. Accordingly, it would be highly desirable to have a new and improved device and a method to produce it, for a multi-message signage and placard, which can be held with the hands, that is light, flexible and easy to transport and store in a compact form. when it is not being used. U.S. Patent No. 4,876.81 1 discloses a device having a rigid base for advertising messages and a gun-like fastening element that acts as a handle. This device does not provide for the display or deployment of multiple messages. Any kind of wind blowing against the rigid base for display would create too much force that the user would be unable to operate the device safely in a crowded situation of outdoor people, if the rigid base for the display of messages were large enough to display cards for large messages that are intended to be observed from a long distance. Therefore, this apparatus does not provide a very large surface area for display or display of messages. Moreover, the complexity of the device and the nature of the rigid materials make said device relatively expensive to manufacture. Accordingly, it would be highly desirable to have a new and improved device, and a method to produce it, for a flexible, hand held, multi-message signage and placard, which has a large surface area for the display of messages that can be seen from great distances and that is economical in its manufacture. Finally, US Patent No. 4,906,503 proposes a flexible signage and placard that can be transported and stored with ease, in a compact form, and that provides a sufficient surface area to display or display messages that can be seen at a great distance. However, this device is not intended to display or display multiple messages that can be changed comfortably and quickly.
Therefore, it would be highly desirable to have a new and improved device, and a method to manufacture it, for the signaling and placard of multiple messages, which is flexible and can be held with the hands, which allows the change of messages in the form comfortable and fast.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION Therefore, the main object of the present invention is to provide a new and improved device, and a method to produce it, for a signaling and poster for message announcement. This message board would allow the display or display of multiple messages and selective message changes, which would be achieved easily and quickly with little or no effort. The multi-page poster could display messages on the front and back of the poster and facilitate the rapid change of messages during use. It is a further object of the present invention to provide a new and improved device, and a method for manufacturing it, for signaling and message placards, with a large surface area for displaying messages that can be viewed from a great distance. The poster unfolds and provides a maximum surface area for signage both on the front and on the back.
It is a further object of the present invention to provide a new and improved device and method for manufacturing it, for signage and message placard, which is also lightweight, flexible and easy to transport and store in a compact form when not in use. Some lightweight, durable, recyclable and weather-resistant materials are common, and they are cheap to use in manufacturing; for example, plastic films, such as polypropylene, trademarked products such as Tyvek, Yupo, coated and uncoated paper, vinyl materials, as well as natural and synthetic fabrics. The flexible nature of the poster allows it to be rolled up to form a compact package that can be easily transported and stored when not in use, and quickly deployed for display purposes. The materials of which the poster is constructed are lightweight and facilitate the transportation of the invention. It is a further object of the present invention to provide a new and improved device, and a method for manufacturing it, for signage and message placard, which is inexpensive to manufacture and maintain. The design of the device provides a simple but effective means by which a method is provided for the display or display of messages. The construction materials that can be used for said device and the simplicity of its design make the manufacture of the invention very economical and cheap. Because the present invention lacks complex mechanisms and its manufacture is cheap, the initial cost to obtain this device is relatively low. However, some very durable and weather-resistant materials are available that can make the invention easy to maintain and last for a long time, as well as making it inexpensive to manufacture. In summary, the above objects and other additional objects of the present invention materialize by providing a new signaling and poster device with multiple messages, which is flexible and can be held with the hands, and a method to produce it. It is proposed that this signaling device and message board have a large surface area for the display of messages that can be seen from a great distance and that can be transported and stored easily, in a compact form, when it is not being used and that Allow the change of messages conveniently and quickly and also be cheap in its manufacture and lasting nature. More particularly, the present invention relates to a device that allows a user to selectively display multiple messages in a quick and easy manner, providing a multi-page poster, which can be held with the hands, and which can be held vertically or horizontally, thus providing a maximum surface area for the display of messages, which can be seen from a great distance, both on the front and back of said poster. The panels would be held together in a vertical or horizontal central axis, by a variety of means that are inexpensive and easy to manufacture, such as sliding inserts or fasteners to join by spiral, snap, tape, staple, glue, seam, radio frequency, thermal sealing, etc. The flexible nature of the material used for the invention allows the poster to be compacted into a small package for easy transportation and storage when not in use. The lightweight materials used in its construction also lend themselves to the easy transportation of the signage and sign device. In addition, the simple construction of the poster allows its cheap manufacture and the durability of the weather-resistant materials available would allow the poster to have a long useful life, with a minimum of expenses for its maintenance.
