Abstract
En un procedimiento para separar estaño y también si así se requiere, cobre, a partir de masas fundidas de chatarra, en particular masas fundidas de lámina de estaño o masas fundidas metálicas como se son formadas en el procesamiento de desperdicio o residuos de combustion que contienen oxidos de metal, se ajusta el contenido en carbono de la masa fundida a 3% hasta 4.2% en peso y se sopla localmente un viento caliente, oxígeno o bien aire enriquecido con oxígeno por encima de las regiones parciales de la superficie del baño de la fase gaseosa, desde la zona que exhibe un grado de "redox" formada entre el baño rico en carbono y los oxidos de hierro producidos por el soplado desde arriba.
