Abstract

La presente invencion se relaciona a una dispersion de polímero libre de aceites, soluble en agua, líquida para usar en el espesamiento de medios acuosos, particularmente fluidos de terminacion y limpieza usados en el negocio de perforacion de petroleo y gas. Las dispersiones de la presente invencion están comprendidas de hidroxietilcelulosa y derivados de propilenglicol, preferiblemente tanto a polioles de propilenglicol poliéteres y un propilenglicol éter alifático. Opcionalmente estas dispersiones incluyen agua. Debido a su baja toxicidad, estas dispersiones son particularmente utiles para perforacion en ambientes costa afuera. Estas composiciones se dispersan rápidamente y aumentan la viscosidad de una variedad de salmueras, que incluyen agua de mar y otras salmueras ligeras, con mínima agitacion y sin formacion de ojos de pescado.
