Abstract

La presente invencion se relaciona con un proceso para separar polihidroxialcanoato de una biomasa que comprende PHA, comprendiendo el proceso: a) tratar la biomasa insoluble, dejando así una solucion de PHA y no solvente marginal de PHA; y c) remover el solvente de PHA de la solucion, resultando así en una suspension de PHA precipitado en el no solvente marginal de PHA. Opcionalmente, el proceso comprende además remover el no solvente marginal de PHA, dejando así el PHA. La presente invencion además su relacion con la suspension y el PHA producido mediante el proceso.
