Una bacteria que pertenece a genero Seratia, que se transforma al introducir en sus células, un ADN que codifique a una sintasa de dihidrodipicolinato que se origina de una bacteria que pertenece al genero Escherichia o Serratia que tiene la mutacion para desensibilizar la inhibicion de retroalimentacion por medio de L-lisina y un ADN que codifica a una aspartoquinasa que se origina de una bacteria que pertenece al genero Escherichia o Seratia que tiene mutacion para desensibilizar la inhibicion de retroalimentacion por L-lisina se cultiva en un medio apropiado, L-lisina se produce y acumula en un medio de cultivo, y la L-lisina se recolecta del cultivo.
