Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a un método para operar un sistema de comunicaciones por satélite, caracterizado porque comprende los pasos de: establecer una conexion inalámbrica con una terminal de un usuario desde una compuerta que se acopla a la terminal de usuario a través de por lo menos un satélite vía un enlace de envío y un enlace de retorno; durante la conexion, determinar repetitivamente en la compuerta una cantidad de recursos del sistema por satélite que se están usando para mantener la conexion inalámbrica con la terminal de usuario; después de una terminacion de la conexion inalámbrica, enviar datos del uso del sistema desde la compuerta, los datos de uso del sistema indicando por lo menos una cantidad de recursos del sistema por satélite que fueron requeridos para proveer la conexion inalámbrica con la terminal de usuario; procesar los dato sde uso del sistema desde una pluralidad de compuertas para obtener un registro historico del uso del sistema de satélite; emplear el registro historico para predecir un uso futuro del sistema; y colocar los recursos del sistema de satélite entre la pluralidad de compuertas, de acuerdo con el uso futuro predicho del sistema.
