Abstract
Esta invencion pertenece a los baculovirus recombinantes que han sido manipulados por ingeniería genética para producir la expresion optima del gen que codifica para las neurotoxinas selectivas de insectos. Más específicamente, esta invencion pertenece a la secuencia del ácido nucleico aislado que codifica para la toxina de escorpion LghIT2, derivado de Leiurus quinquestriatus hebraeus, en el que la secuencia ha sido optimizada para la expresion del gen en las células infectadas con el virus de polihedrosis nuclear. Esta invencion también se pertenece a los genes quiméricos que comprenden una secuencia de nucleotidos LghIT2 optimizada en el codon, composiciones insecticidas que comprenden los baculovirus recombinantes que expresan un codon optimizado, la neurotoxina selectiva del insecto (por ejemplo el gen de la toxina LghIT2), y los métodos para controlar los insectos en ambos ambientes agronomicos y no agronomicos, que comprende la aplicacion de los baculovirus de insectos que contienen la secuencia de ácido nucleico optimizada en el codon, que codifica para una neurotoxina selectiva del insecto, tal como la toxina LghIT2.
