Abstract
Se describe un método para el tratamiento de enfermedades en la uñas, que comprenden la administracion topica a la uña y, si se desea, también a la piel que la circunda, de 1) un aminoácido que contiene sulfhidrilo o un derivado del mismo, las sales o ésteres farmacéuticamente aceptables del mismo o estereoisomeros del mismo, 2) urea, (1) y (2) administrándose en una cantidad suficiente para incrementar la penetracion de fármacos antimicoticos a través del tejido de la uña, ya sea antes, o preferiblemente en forma concurrente con la administracion topica a la uña de 3) una cantidad efectiva de fármaco antimicotico; también se describe una venda adaptada para la administracion topica de medicamento a la uña, dicha venda comprendiendo un respaldo adhesivo en forma de T, y una almohadilla flexible que tiene un respaldo impermeable y una cavidad en forma de uña respaldada por dicho respaldo impermeable, en donde dicha cavidad en forma de uña contiene medios absorbedores que tienen absorbidos en ellos urea y un aminoácido que contiene sulfhidrilo o derivados del mismo, una sal o éster farmacéuticamente aceptable del mismo o un esteroisomero del mismo.
