Polimeros compuestos de al menos < 80% en peso de monomero de la formula: donde R1, R2, R3 son cada uno H o alquilo C1-C3, R4 es alquileno C1-C5 y X es O o OH se usan como auxiliares en el secado de dispersiones acuosas de polímeros y, en el caso de tener un peso molecular relativo promedio ponderal de 5000 35,000, adicionalmente como coloides protectores, para la preparacion de dispersiones acuosas de polímeros, por el método de polimerizacion en emulsion acuosa, de radical libre.
