Abstract
Un procedimiento para producir copolímeros en bloque radiales asimétricos predominantemente de cuatro ramas que contienen predominantemente, en promedio dos ramas de copolímeros de un dieno conjugado y un hidrocarburo aromático vinilo y dos ramas de copolímeros u homopolímeros dieno, que comprenden: (a) polimerizar anionicamente por lo menos un monomero dieno conjugado y por lo menos un monomero de hidrocarburo vinilaromático para formar un conjunto de ramas de polímeros activos, (b) polimerizar anionicamente por lo menos un monomero dieno conjugado para formar otro conjunto de ramas de polímeros activos, (c) acoplar un conjunto de ramas de polímeros activos con un agente acoplador que es o bien un tetrametoxisilano o y-glicidoxipropiltrimetoxisilano, (d) completar substancialmente la reaccion de acoplamiento dejando, en promedio, dos lugares de acoplamiento sin reaccionar en el agente de acoplamiento, (e) acoplar el otro conjunto de ramas de polímeros activos al primer conjunto acoplado de ramas de polímeros y (f) opcionalmente, hidrogenar parcial o completamente el polímero acoplado.
