Abstract

The present invention discloses a pigment compound comprising: (i) from 10 to 80 percent by mass of a oxide-coated support material in the form of small plates, and (ii) from 20 to 60 percent by mass of an active pigment. The support material coated with metallic oxide preferably is a mica coated with titanium dioxide or iron oxide. The active pigment is preferably zinc phosphate, zinc borate, calcium metaphosphate, phtalocyanine or a material bonding hydroxide ions, such as silica gel, silicate, aluminumsilicate, calcite, metaphosphates, or bi- or triphosphates.
