Abstract

Un sistema para diversidad de seleccion digital incluye la recepcion de diferentes versiones de una señal en antenas diferentes (222, 226) de un receptor (210), y el procesamiento de las diferentes versiones en bifurcaciones separadas que tienen cada una un subconversor digital (224, 228) y un filtro (232, 236). El selector de conmutacion en diversidad también controla un demodulador (240) para demodular la señal filtrada. Las señales diezmadas se utilizan para proporcionar tanto informacion de calidad de señal como historia de fase cuando una bifurcacion se vuelve activa. Cuando se determina que la cantidad de señal en una bifurcacion inactiva es mayor, el controlador de conmutacion en diversidad es mayor, el controlador de conmutacion en diversidad controla ese filtro de la bifurcacion para conmutarlo a un modo de filtro, y al demodulador para utilizar la ultima muestra diezmada para la historia de fase cuando se demodule inicialmente la version de la señal proveniente de la bifurcacion nuevamente activa.
