Abstract
Un proceso mejorado para la produccion de adsorbentes de cationes intercambiados mezclados, que involucra un intercambio de iones de un solo paso. La zeolita precursora (no intercambiada) se trata con una solucion en exceso y esencialmente estequiométrica combinada, de cationes sostenidos fuertemente y sostenidos débilmente deseables, de manera que la zeolita resultante tiene la composicion de cationes mezclados requeridos, al consumir cantidades pequeñas de cation sostenido débilmente. El tratamiento posterior al intercambio de iones incluye una etapa de equilibrio opcional para asegurar un adsorbente uniforme, y una etapa de lavado opcional.
