Abstract

La presente invencion describe enzimas que tienen la actividad de la xilanasa. Las xilanasas se caracterizan en que son activas a una temperatura de 80 degree C o mayor. Las enzimas se pueden obtener de bacterias termofílicas anaerobias. Las enzimas son adecuadas para su uso en procesos de produccion de pasta papelera y de papel. La invencion también describe el clonado y expresion de genes que tienen actividad en la xilanasa, obtenidos de las cepas depositadas.
