Abstract

La potencia producida por un sistema de turbina de gas se aumenta mediante un dispositivo precompresor que comprime el aire ambiental suministrado al compresor principal del sistema, con lo cual introduce temperatura y sube la presión en el aire suministrado. Se enfría el aire suministrado al compresor principal usando un sistema de refrigeración mecánica para disminuir la temperatura del aire suministrado en la entrada al compresor principal de una turbina de gas. El aire comprimido por el compresor principal se suministra a una cámara de combustión para calentar el aire comprimido y producir gases calientes que se suministran a una turbina que suministra una carga e impulsa al compresor principal. Los gases calientes descargados se suministran a una caldera que produce vapor que se aplica a una turbina de vapor que suministra una carga. El uso de un enfriador en lugar de un enfriamiento evaporativo del comprimido es conveniente por que le da al aparato insensibilidad a las condiciones húmedas del aire ambiental.
