Abstract
La invención permite que se haga una distinción entre por lo menos dos tipos de intervalos de tiempo en corriente de bit digitales en serie, que se transmiten sobre un enlace (2) entre un transmisor (4) y un receptor (6), y que se derivan de las corrientes de bits de datos paralelos que se suministran al transmisor mediante una interface y se someten a conversión de paralelo-en serie en el transmisor. En forma subsecuente al análisis de los bits de datos paralelos en un intervalo de tiempo, el tipo de categoría al cual este intervalo tiempo pertenece es decidido y se insertan entonces una pluralidad de bits marcadores a los intervalos de tiempo en serie, a fin de obtener buenas propiedades de trasmisión y también de reestablecer los intervalos de tiempo en una forma paralela. En forma más específica, las categorías de intervalo de tiempo se separan mútuamente con la ayuda de un número de diferentes de bits marcadores en el intervalo de tiempo, todos estos bits marcadores han sido asignados al valor invertido de un bit, diferente al de los bits marcadores.
