Abstract
La invención se refiere a un dispositivo (10) para determinar la presencia de una característica de una muestra (12), el cual comprende: - una fuente de luz (14) para emitir radiación de excitación pulsada (16); - un dispositivo de detección (18) para detectar radiación de autofluorescencia (20) emitida por la muestra (12); y - un dispositivo de evaluación basado en computadora (22); en donde el dispositivo de detección (18) está diseñado para detectar, de manera resuelta en el tiempo, la radiación de fluorescencia inherente (20) de la muestra (12) en varias longitudes de onda mediante recuento de fotón único correlacionado en el tiempo y para proveer al dispositivo de evaluación (22) con datos bidimensionales que tienen una dimensión de longitud de onda y una dimensión de tiempo; el dispositivo de evaluación (22) está diseñado para clasificar los datos proporcionados en clases mediante un clasificador; el dispositivo de evaluación (22) está diseñado para identificar longitudes de onda específicas a ser priorizadas durante la clasificación en base a características formadas en la dimensión de tiempo de los datos; y el dispositivo de evaluación (22) está diseñado para tener en cuenta, de manera priorizada, los datos en las longitudes de onda específicas para determinar la presencia de la característica de la muestra (12). La invención también se refiere a un método para la determinación in ovo del sexo de un huevo de ave fertilizado (12). La invención se refiere además al uso del dispositivo (10) mencionado anteriormente
