Abstract

Un sistema incluye un pozo de inyección, un pozo de producción y un sistema de ciclo binario. El pozo de inyección tiene una sección de inyección horizontalmente perforada que atraviesa el yacimiento geotérmico, a través del cual se inyecta un fluido geotérmico enfriado, desde una ubicación de superficie, en el yacimiento geotérmico que es calentado por el yacimiento geotérmico. El pozo de producción tiene una sección de producción horizontalmente perforada que atraviesa el yacimiento geotérmico y una bomba de producción dispuesta dentro de una sección vertical. La bomba de producción bombea el fluido geotérmico calentado, que entra al pozo de producción del yacimiento geotérmico, a la ubicación de superficie. El sistema de ciclo binario incluye un intercambiador de calor y una turbina. El intercambiador de calor está configurado para transferir calor del fluido geotérmico calentado a un fluido de trabajo condensado para crear un fluido de trabajo vaporizado. La turbina, girada por el fluido de trabajo vaporizado, impulsa un generador para producir la energía geotérmica.
