Abstract

The invention relates to a thread-splicing device (10) for a workstation (2) of a textile machine (1) producing cross-wound bobbins. Said device: has a splicing prism (19) comprising a splicing channel (20), to which pneumatic pressure can be applied, as well as thread-guiding plates (22, 23) located on both sides of the splicing channel; and is equipped with thread-locking means (11A, 17A). In order to improve the appearance and the strength of the spliced joints produced by the thread-splicing device (10) when processing coarse yarns, according to the invention at least one interference element (30) is positioned on each of the two sides of the splicing prism (19) in a region between the thread-guiding plates (22, 23) and a thread-locking means (11A, 17A) in such a way that the thread ends to be spliced contact the interference element (30) during the splicing process.
