Abstract

Se proponen métodos, dispositivos y flujos de datos para codificar, transportar y decodificar videos volumétricos 3D. Las modalidades abarcan la señalización de parches no lambertianos junto con sus propiedades de reflexión de luz, para permitir que un motor de representación basado en trazado de rayos sintetice vistas virtuales visualmente realistas con respecto a los efectos de luz. También se describe una solución retrocompatible que permite a los motores de representación convencionales representar la escena 3D descrita pero sin los efectos de iluminación avanzados.
