Abstract
Algunas variaciones proporcionan un proceso para producir alcoholes mixtos, que comprende: purificar una materia prima de biogás para generar una corriente de gas natural renovable que comprende metano; introducir la corriente de gas natural renovable en una unidad de conversión de metano en gas de síntesis que opera en condiciones efectivas para convertir el metano en una primera corriente de gas de síntesis que contiene al menos H2, CO y CO2; purificar la primera corriente de gas de síntesis, lo que incluye separar el CO2 de la primera corriente de gas de síntesis y opcionalmente separar parte del H2 de la primera corriente de gas de síntesis, con lo que se genera así una corriente de gas de síntesis limpia; introducir la corriente de gas de síntesis limpia en un reactor de alcohol mixto que opera en condiciones efectivas para la síntesis de alcohol con un catalizador para la síntesis de alcohol, con lo que se generan así alcoholes mixtos; y purificar los alcoholes mixtos para generar un producto de alcohol mixto.
