Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a una ortesis adaptada para llevarse puesta en un antebrazo y una mano humanos a fin de estabilizar la articulación de la muñeca, que comprende un cuerpo rígido que tiene una exoestructura que encierra un núcleo alargado, en donde el cuerpo rígido comprende (i) una sección metacarpiana, que tiene una sección de soporte del pulgar en forma de anillo o en forma de segmento de anillo adaptada para recibir el pulgar de la mano humana, que tiene una sección palmar adaptada para acoplarse a la palma de la mano humana, y que tiene una sección cubital adaptada para envolver la mano humana desde el lado anterior hasta el lado dorsal, (ii) una sección media alargada adaptada para acoplarse al antebrazo humano sobre su lado medial o lateral, y (iii) una sección de antebrazo adaptada para envolver el antebrazo humano desde su lado ventral hasta su lado dorsal.
