Abstract
Un método para formar una capa de recubrimiento en al menos una porción de un sustrato que incluye aplicar una composición de recubrimiento acuosa a un sustrato mediante el uso de un aplicador de alta eficiencia de transferencia. La composición de recubrimiento acuosa incluye (i) una resina o polímero formador de película, (ii) una dispersión de poliuretano; (iii) micropartículas de polímero reticulado; (iv) un polímero que comprende uno o más grupos con funcionalidad reactiva; o (iv) combinaciones de estos. La composición de recubrimiento acuosa tiene una viscosidad que oscila de 10 a 100 Pa*s a una tensión de cizallamiento de 1 Pa cuando se mide con el uso de un reómetro Anton-Paar MCR301 equipado con un accesorio placa-placa paralela de 50 milímetros a 25°C y una presión de 101.3 kPa (1 atm) y se mantiene una distancia placa-placa fijada en 0.2 mm.
