Abstract

Un método para mezclar por fusión una composición pirorretardante incluye las etapas: (a) calentar un pirorretardante bromado polimérico a una temperatura de 5 °C o más por encima de la temperatura de transición vítrea del pirorretardante bromado polimérico según se mide por calorimetría diferencial de barrido, en donde el pirorretardante bromado polimérico tiene una temperatura de 5 % de pérdida de masa de 300 °C a 700 °C según se mide de acuerdo con el análisis termogravimétrico; (b) mezclar una poliolefina en el pirorretardante bromado polimérico después de la etapa (a); y (c) mezclar un agente de relleno inorgánico en la poliolefina y el pirorretardante bromado polimérico después de la etapa (b) para formar la composición pirorretardante.
