Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un compuesto polimérico que comprende preferentemente arena media, al menos una carga, al menos una resina seleccionada entre la resina de poliéster de diciclopentadieno (DCPD) y la resina de PET y al menos un aditivo compatibilizador de fases y/o agente flexibilizador de la estructura polimérica. Además, la presente invención se relaciona con el proceso para la preparación de dicho compuesto además del uso de dicho compuesto para la preparación de algunos artículos incluyendo traviesas. Este compuesto presenta varias ventajas en comparación con los materiales utilizados actualmente en la elaboración de traviesas, ya que es más versátil que el acero, más disponible y tan eficaz como la madera, y más duradero que el hormigón, ya que tiene una composición optimizada que combina propiedades físicas y químicas idóneas para desempeñar su función.
