Abstract
Métodos que comprenden: evaporar una fuente de catalizador para producir un gas catalizador; condensar el gas catalizador para producir un vapor catalizador que comprende gotas de catalizador suspendidas en una fase gaseosa; y poner en contacto el vapor catalizador con un gas hidrocarburo para catalizar una reacción de descomposición del gas hidrocarburo en gas hidrógeno y carbono. Y, sistemas que comprenden: una fuente de catalizador evaporador que proporciona una primera corriente a un reactor; una fuente de hidrocarburos que proporciona una segunda corriente al reactor; una columna de refrigeración acoplada al reactor mediante una tercera corriente que comprende hidrógeno, líquido catalizador, carbono sólido, opcionalmente gas catalizador y opcionalmente gas de hidrocarburo sin reaccionar, de manera que la columna de refrigeración recibe la tercera corriente del reactor; y en la que la columna de refrigeración tiene corrientes de efluentes que incluyen (a) una cuarta corriente que comprende hidrógeno y opcionalmente gas catalizador y (b) una quinta corriente que comprende líquido catalizador.
