Abstract
La presente divulgación proporciona métodos, dispositivos y productos de programas informáticos para codificar y decodificar una señal de audio multicanal a base de una señal de entrada. De acuerdo a la divulgación, se utiliza un enfoque híbrido de usar tanto la codificación estérea paramétrica como la representación discreta de la señal de audio multicanal procesada que puede mejorar la calidad del audio codificada y decodificada para ciertas velocidades de bits.
