Abstract

Se proporciona un sistema de iluminación de una planta, que comprende un domo/jaula que define un volumen que recibe, rodea y cubre la planta. Una pluralidad de fuentes de luz está soportada por el domo/jaula y distribuidas de manera vertical desde abajo hacia arriba y alrededor del domo/jaula para iluminar la planta de manera uniforme. El sistema está adaptado para controlar las fuentes de luz para proyectar luz en la oscuridad, prolongar las horas de luz ambiental, aumentar la intensidad de una luz existente; y modificar un espectro de la luz existente de acuerdo con los requisitos de crecimiento específicos de una planta determinada que crece en un entorno específico. Se puede conectar un panel solar a las luces directamente o a través de una batería para operar el sistema como una unidad independiente. Se puede proporcionar una unidad de control para recibir una entrada de usuario que configura un programa de iluminación, para permitir que el sistema controle el funcionamiento de las luces mediante el uso del programa establecido.
