Abstract

La invención se refiere al uso de una composición basada en aceite que comprende partículas que contienen boro, para la reducción de la volatilización del amoníaco al aplicar las partículas de fertilizante que contienen urea al suelo, en donde las partículas de fertilizante que contienen urea se recubren con una composición basada en aceite que comprende partículas que contienen boro antes de su aplicación al suelo. Las partículas que contienen boro consisten esencialmente en un material con una baja solubilidad en agua menor de 10 g/l a 25°C; y por lo menos el 95% de las partículas que contienen boro tiene un tamaño de las partículas en el rango de entre 0,1 y 60 µm, según se mide mediante el análisis por difracción láser.
