Abstract
Se describe un método de preparación de una composición refractaria en partículas para usarse en la fabricación de moldes y núcleos de fundición a partir de moldes o núcleos de fundición gastados formados de material refractario y un aglutinante que contiene vidrio soluble, el método comprende las siguientes etapas: proporcionar material roto a partir de moldes o núcleos de fundición gastados, o preparar material roto a partir de moldes o núcleos de fundición gastados, en donde el material roto comprende partículas y/o agregados de partículas de material refractario que tienen un aglutinante de vidrio soluble endurecido en su superficie, mezclar el material roto con óxido amorfo en partículas que comprenden dióxido de silicio en una cantidad del 85% en peso o más, con base en la cantidad total del óxido amorfo en partículas, para proporcionar una mezcla y someter la mezcla a un tratamiento térmico a una temperatura de 400°C o más. También se describen un uso correspondiente, una mezcla de recuperación y un método para hacer un molde o núcleo de fundición.
