Abstract
La invención revela sistemas de secado y procesos de secado, diseñados particularmente para secar granos de manera eficiente. El sistema de secado de granos de la invención comprende una máquina conformada por un rotor de secado que se caracteriza por contener paneles térmicos y tener un diseño eficiente que permite la circulación de aire. De manera alternativa, el sistema de secado de granos está conformado por un rotor de secado que comprende paneles térmicos y un sistema eficiente de circulación de aire, junto a un rotor de reposo al vacío de los granos. La invención también se refiere a un proceso de secado de granos que comprende una etapa en un rotor de secado conformado por paneles térmicos y un sistema eficiente de circulación de aire, y, opcionalmente, una segunda etapa de reposo en vacío en un rotor de reposo al vacío, en donde la primera y segunda etapas se alternan una, dos, tres o más veces según se requiera. De manera general, los sistemas y procesos revelados en la invención involucran elementos y etapas que permiten secar el grano mediante el calentamiento controlado del grano por exposición a radiación electromagnética y flujo eficiente de aire, o mediante múltiples etapas que comprenden el calentamiento controlado del grano por exposición a radiación electromagnética y flujo eficiente de aire, el reposo de los granos al vacío, y una nueva etapa de calentamiento controlado del grano por exposición a radiación electromagnética y flujo eficiente de aire logrando de esta manera una alta eficiencia en los tiempos de secado sin alterar la estructura de los granos y sin la generación de emisiones contaminantes, puesto que el sistema no requiere de combustibles fósiles para su funcionamiento.
